SmartSort LY-type optical sorter

SmartSort LY-type is another specialized SmartSort solution. It is used in sorting processes in the production of frozen foods and other food assortments subject to special hygiene procedures. The device is made of stainless steel, providing it with the best resistance to the unfavourable physical and chemical conditions in which it must work in order to meet the highest hygienic standards.

Sorting frozen foods

Thanks to the use of stainless steel in the design of key elements, the LY-type models of this generation do not corrode in cold conditions of coolers or freezers, even in spite of the moist atmosphere occurring in such working environments. In addition, all key electronic components – the high-resolution Cloud colour cameras, the entire integrated circuit unit and the solenoid valve control systems – are specially protected from moisture, so as to ensure the highest quality of sorting without failures. At the same time, the mechanical system of conveyor belts restricting the free flight in the detection area minimizes the collisions of frozen assortments with one another.

Resistance to detergents

High-grade stainless steel which is used in the construction of the SmartSort LY-type sorter also provides resistance to other aggressive physical and chemical agents – and not only those related to the moisture itself! As a result, this SmartSort model can be cleaned entirely by strong detergents based on phosphoric acid, propanol and other substances such as Topax19, Acifoam and Divodes. This allows for production of food that meets the most demanding hygiene and health standards.

Highest work standard

The SmartSort LY-type optical sorter has a high-resolution Cloud-based video system that provides the ability to isolate colour, shape and size contaminants in the highest quality standard and with minimal losses of the accepted assortment. The mutual arrangement of conveyor belts with respect to cameras and nozzles, thanks to the shortened free flight of the assortment and the ground-breaking EagleEye software, which coordinates the operation of nozzles with signals from the detection area ensures high efficiency of the sorting process and protects the assortment from damage.
